Responsibilities:
- Data Inputting - To ensure that all bookings and rooming lists are processed in a timely and accurate manner
- Allocation of Rooms - To assist with the allocation of rooms, ensuring that our guests’ requirements are met, while minimising gaps, with the intent of maximizing revenue possibilities. The role includes also close liaising with the Front Desk & Sales Teams when it comes to avoiding or managing overbooking situations
- Supplementary Services Bookings - To actively process any requests and book supplementary services including taxis, car hire, food-packs, Spa services and similar items. This includes invoicing and booking the various services as well as actively promoting these same services.
- Daily Audit - A Daily basic audit of the following day arrivals. This is a filter aimed at detecting any inputting errors that might have occurred at reservation stage.
- Product Knowledge - Be familiar with all the hotels’ services/features and local attractions/activities, while ensuring that all the knowledge is shared between all the members of the Reservations Department.
- Follows up leads and correspondence within 24 hours - On a daily basis the candidate will be in correspondence with new leads and existing producers whose requests are expected to be replied to within 24 hours.
- Communication - Preserves excellent levels of internal and external levels of communication
- Assistance to the Front Office Department if required
- Greeting and Meeting - To assist the Sales Team
- Any other task commensurate to the role
Requirements:
- Experience in a similar position is required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
- Applicants must be willing to learn, be flexible, able to work within a team and under pressure;
- Knowledge of Opera will be considered to be an asset.
- The work schedule is based on a 40-hour week spread over six days, from Monday to Saturday.
