Responsibilities:

Maintain the bookkeeping of multiple Maltese companies up to trial balance stage.

Prepare periodic management accounts for holding, trading, or international client structures.

Perform bank reconciliations and ensure ledgers are kept updated.

Perform ad hoc accounting tasks as they arise.

Prepare and submit VAT returns and EC recapitulative statements, ensuring VAT compliance.

Prepare income tax computations, tax returns, and tax refund claim forms.

Provide general corporate tax support as required.

Liaise with external auditors, support the audit process, and provide required documentation.

Draft financial statements in accordance with IFRS and GAPSME where applicable.

Act as a point of contact for clients, advisors, shareholders, and other stakeholders.

Perform general administrative and filing duties as required.
Requirements:

Strong attention to detail with a hands-on, problem-solving approach.

Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple client portfolios.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work with multicultural stakeholders.

High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general MS Office applications.

Experience with cloud-based accounting systems (e.g., Xero) considered an asset.

Currently pursuing or already holding ACCA or an equivalent accounting qualification; candidates in the initial stages will also be considered.

Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in client accounting, corporate services, audit, or similar environments.

Experience in a multi-client environment is preferable.
