Our client, operating within the public sector, is seeking to recruit an Analytical Assistant.

Responsibilities
  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence.
  • Maintain information management systems and update computerised and paper-based records.
  • Provide general administrative support to Section staff, including data entry, scanning, filing, and document handling.
  • Organise events such as workshops, seminars, and training courses.
  • Screen and handle telephone calls and enquiries appropriately.
  • Liaise with the Corporate Services Section, particularly in relation to staff travel arrangements.
  • Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures and ensure adherence.
  • Provide support in drafting, reviewing, and updating internal records and documents.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director, Deputy Director, Head of Section, Senior Manager, or Manager.

Requirements
  • School Leaving Certificate with at least 5 years’ relevant experience; OR
  • MQF Level 4 qualification with at least 2 years’ relevant experience in administrative or secretarial duties.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with formal qualifications in administrative and secretarial duties or proven experience in a similar role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Maltese and English.
  • Excellent analytical and report-writing skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office and office automation tools.
  • Strong organisational, leadership, and motivational skills, coupled with ethical responsibility and diligence.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills with the ability to work under tight deadlines and flexibility to work beyond standard hours if required.

Office Hours
  • Winter: 08:00 – 17:00.
  • Summer: 08:00 – 13:30.
