AIMS International Malta is delighted to partner with a reputable Business Advisory firm, known for its diverse operations across multiple industries. They are looking to expand their Tax team with the appointment of a motivated Senior Tax Technical Specialist.
As a Senior Tax Technical Specialist, you’ll be a central figure in our client's tax advisory function. You’ll focus on direct tax matters, support client-facing teams with high-level technical input, and produce written advice that reflects clarity, confidence, and accuracy.
Responsibilities:
Dive into tax law – Explore complex legislation and case law, and turn it into decisive advice.
Craft exceptional work – Prepare structured, high-quality technical memos, opinions, and recommendations.
Help others level up – Contribute to technical discussions and internal knowledge-sharing.
Requirements:
A recognised qualification in accountancy or law (e.g. ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).
A specialised qualification in tax such as ADIT or a Master’s in Tax.
Minimum of 4 years' experience in a role requiring strong technical tax knowledge (in advisory, compliance, or regulatory contexts).
Proven experience working on technically challenging direct tax matters.
Strong ability to research, interpret, and explain tax law, supported by excellent writing skills.
Interest and experience in direct taxation, including domestic law and case law.
Familiarity with EU directives relevant to direct tax (e.g. ATAD, Parent-Subsidiary Directive).
Experience with cross-border transactions, group structuring, or transfer pricing.
A track record of contributing to internal training or technical content.
Comfortable collaborating with non-tax professionals to deliver integrated advice.
