Our client, a well-known commercial airline company, is seeking to recruit an experienced aviation professional for the position of Deputy Head of 
Safety & Compliance
.

The role supports the Head of Safety & Compliance in maintaining full regulatory compliance within an EASA-regulated and IOSA environment. The selected candidate must be capable of immediate operational deployment with minimal onboarding. 

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head of Safety & Compliance in maintaining the Compliance Monitoring Programme in accordance with EU Regulation 965/2012 (Air OPS), EU Regulation 1321/2014 (Part-CAMO / Part-145), and IOSA Standards. 

  • Plan, coordinate and conduct internal and external compliance audits across operational departments. 

  • Develop and maintain audit plans and audit checklists. 

  • Monitor and ensure timely closure of audit findings and corrective actions. 

  • Oversee compliance of contracted and subcontracted organisations. 

  • Liaise with the Competent Authority during regulatory surveillance activities. 

  • Monitor regulatory changes and ensure appropriate internal dissemination. 

  • Support operational risk oversight and Safety Management System activities. 

  • Assist in safety data monitoring, occurrence reporting oversight, and trend analysis. 

  • Maintain compliance and safety documentation and support governance meetings (SRB/MRB). 


Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Compliance Monitoring or Safety role within an EASA AOC environment. 

  • Strong working knowledge of EU Regulation 965/2012 and EU Regulation 1321/2014. 

  • Working knowledge of Occurrence Reporting requirements. 

  • Working knowledge of IOSA Standards (Preferred) 

  • Demonstrated audit experience and management of corrective actions. 

  • Experience with Flight Operations audits will be considered an asset. 

  • Experience liaising with aviation authorities. 

  • Solid understanding of Safety Management Systems and risk assessment principles. 

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken). 

  • Proficient in MS Office applications. 

  • Strong analytical, reporting, and organisational skills. 

  • High level of integrity and professional judgement.
