Our client, a leading firm in the financial services industry, is currently looking to recruit an AML/CFT Administrator to join their growing compliance team.

Responsibilities:
  • Take an active role in the client onboarding process, with a focus on risk assessment, client screening, and customer due diligence.
  • Conduct ongoing monitoring of existing clients from an AML/CFT perspective as needed.
  • Perform transaction monitoring to identify suspicious activity and potential ML/TF risks.
  • Conduct risk assessments of the company’s operations to identify and mitigate exposure to money laundering and terrorism financing risks.
  • Assist the MLRO and Head of Compliance in preparing periodic AML/CFT and compliance reports for the Board of Directors.
  • Prepare external reports and regulatory returns in line with AML/CFT and compliance obligations.
  • Ensure that company operations adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, professional standards, and internal policies.
  • Conduct research on AML/CFT legislation and regulatory developments relevant to the company.
  • Support the AML/CFT and Compliance team in their day-to-day functions, offering guidance and assistance to the client onboarding team.
  • Provide general support to the MLRO and Head of Compliance on AML/CFT, compliance, and regulatory matters.

Requirements:
  • A degree-level qualification or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar AML/CFT or compliance role.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate services industry regulations and practices.
  • Familiarity with due diligence and AML procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills.
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to clearly present findings, both in written and oral formats.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Proactive and capable of taking ownership of tasks.
  • Solid understanding of AML/CFT laws and regulations applicable in Malta.
