AIMS International is assisting one of our clients, a well-established CSP in Malta, in recruiting a VAT Executive.

Our client is seeking a qualified and experienced VAT Executive to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with at least one year of experience in VAT-related work.

As a key member of the VAT team, you will support the delivery of high-quality compliance and advisory services to a diverse client base while ensuring adherence to local and EU VAT regulations. This role offers strong potential for professional development and long-term career progression within the firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit VAT returns for a diverse portfolio of clients
  • Analyze clients' financial data to ensure VAT compliance and identify areas for improvement
  • Assist in handling VAT-related queries and correspondence with tax authorities
  • Conduct research and support the delivery of VAT advisory services
  • Monitor changes in VAT legislation and assess their impact on clients
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure ongoing compliance with VAT obligations

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year’s experience in VAT compliance and/or advisory services, or equivalent experience in a VAT-focused role
  • Solid understanding of VAT regulations and procedures
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Strong client relationship management skills
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, ACCA qualification, or equivalent (must be a qualified accountant)
  • Additional qualifications in VAT or experience in other areas of tax will be considered an asset
