A Malta-based family office is seeking a full-time Wealth Manager to support its operations. The office is part of a small group of entities with both local and international interests, managing the affairs and investments of a non-resident high-net-worth individual.
This position provides comprehensive exposure to all facets of the family office and its business activities. The successful candidate will be instrumental in managing existing investments, assisting with daily operations, and contributing to the ongoing expansion of the group’s portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Support the ongoing management of various business undertakings, including monitoring, issue resolution, and implementation of action points;
- Oversee investment portfolios across the group, liaising with external investment managers and custodians, and participating in investment committee meetings;
- Assess new business and investment opportunities in line with the group’s strategic objectives;
- Manage the implementation of new investments and the divestment of existing ones, ensuring proper handling of business, financial, legal, and tax considerations;
- Handle treasury and liquidity management functions;
- Assist with corporate governance and administrative matters for the group, including compliance, preparation for board meetings, attendance, and supporting the company secretary with minutes;
- Contribute to the management of international tax matters affecting the group;
- Lead and coordinate various projects, including managing certain assignments independently.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or a recognised professional qualification in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field;
- Minimum of three years post-qualification experience;
- Interest in pursuing a long-term career within a family office environment, with a desire to grow into a senior management role;
- Strong interest in corporate and tax matters;
- Ability to work effectively in a small, dynamic office with minimal supervision;
- Proactive, hands-on, and capable of working independently;
- Strong commercial awareness and entrepreneurial mindset;
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and approach challenges from different perspectives;
- Negotiation skills and a positive, solutions-oriented attitude;
- Strong communication skills, preferably in both Maltese and English.
