The selected candidate will form part of the Supervision Section and play a key role in planning and executing compliance examinations and related supervisory duties, contributing directly to the organisation’s AML/CFT oversight framework.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Team and Assistant Managers in delivering the supervisory plan and strategic projects
- Plan and conduct compliance examinations to assess subject persons’ adherence to AML/CFT obligations
- Draft and review compliance reports, ensuring timely and high-quality documentation
- Participate in committee meetings and contribute to discussions and evaluations
- Engage in assessments and evaluations by international bodies (EU, FATF, MONEYVAL, Egmont Group, etc.)
- Liaise with national regulatory bodies (MFSA, MGA, Sanctions Monitoring Board, Police Force, etc.)
- Provide guidance to subject persons on AML/CFT compliance structures and internal controls
- Collaborate with the Risk and Remediation Teams to support risk assessments and follow-up processes
- Participate in AML/CFT training initiatives for subject persons and supervisory staff
- Assist in the development and enhancement of internal procedures and documentation
Requirements:
- Qualifications:
- Degree (MQF Level 6) in audit, banking & finance, economics, law, or related field + 4 years’ experience
- OR Diploma (MQF Level 5) in the same fields + 5 years’ experience
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of AML/CFT legislation, international standards, and EU directives
- Experience with AML/CFT compliance checks, audits, or supervision — preferably in gaming or financial services
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong analytical and report-writing abilities
- Proven track record of integrity, diligence, and technical competence

- Winter (15 Sep – 15 Jul): 08:00 – 17:00 (30-min break)
- Summer (16 Jul – 14 Sep): 08:00 – 13:30 (15-min break)
