Our client a well-known, corporate service provider is looking for a Senior Client Accountant to join their growing team.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee a diverse portfolio of local and international clients, ensuring high-quality service delivery and maintaining strong professional relationships.
  • Lead and review daily and month-end bookkeeping processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, management accounts, and periodic reporting packs, providing insights and recommendations to both clients and internal management.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of VAT Returns and all related VAT documentation, ensuring adherence to statutory deadlines and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, providing guidance, resolving queries, and proactively identifying opportunities for process improvements.
  • Support and mentor junior team members, providing technical guidance and contributing to their professional development.
  • Collaborate closely with senior management to ensure client deadlines are met and internal workflows are optimized.
  • Assist in the implementation and enhancement of accounting systems, processes, and best practices within the department. 

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a client accounting or similar role, ideally within a corporate services, accounting, or financial services environment.
  • Fully qualified Accountant (ACCA, University Degree in Accountancy, or equivalent). Candidates in the final stages of qualification may also be considered.
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and VAT compliance.
  • Experience with Xero or other cloud-based accounting systems is considered a strong asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage client expectations and build long-term professional relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple deadlines with a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to guide junior staff and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Maltese or Italian is considered an advantage.
  • Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
