AIMS International Malta is thrilled to be representing one of our reputable clients operating within the insurance industry. They are looking to enlist a new addition to their team in the form of a Senior Accountant.
Responsibilities:
- Reviewing insurance and accounting entries.
- Prepare and review Management accounts.
- Submit monthly accounting data in a timely manner.
- Assist with the management and upkeep of the cell insurance operation.
- Conduct financial reporting, and be involved with the annual budget and forecasting process.
- Help with the completion of Solvency II and other regulatory returns as well as annual audits.
- Help the accounting team through mentorship initiatives, and offer guidance where needed.
Requirements:
- The candidate should be in possession of tertiary level accounting qualification, either a degree, ACCA, or equivalent.
- The candidate should have at least 2 - 3 years post-qualification experience within an insurance environment, familiarity with IFRS 17 is an asset.
