Responsibilities:
- Annual review and update of the Business Risk Assessment (BRA).
- Ongoing review, maintenance, and enhancement of AML/CFT Policies & Procedures in line with Maltese laws and FIAU guidance.
- Oversight of client risk assessments, CDD/EDD measures, and ongoing monitoring.
- Identification, assessment, and reporting of suspicious activity (STRs) to the FIAU.
- Acting as the primary point of contact with regulators and competent authorities on AML/CFT matters.
- Advising senior management on AML/CFT risks and regulatory developments.
- Ensuring staff awareness and supporting AML/CFT training where required.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Law would be preferred but not required.
- PQ'd by the MFSA.
- Proven experience in a similar role managing the AML/CFT and compliance functions within regulated financial services, fintech, or crypto organisation.
- Deep understanding of Maltese and EU regulatory frameworks.
- Experience conducting risk assessments, audits, investigations, and reporting on compliance and AML matters.
