On behalf of our client in the manufacturing sector, we are seeking a Junior Accountant to join their expanding Finance Team.
Responsibilities:
Prepare management accounts and statutory financial statements in adherence to regulatory standards.
Supervise and support accounting staff, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in daily operations.
Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
Maintain accounting systems and subsidiary ledgers, ensuring proper, complete, and accurate record-keeping in line with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Provide expert guidance to team members to ensure timely and accurate delivery of work.
Manage and optimize the company’s debt collection process.
Collaborate with the Head of Finance to oversee the end-of-year statutory audit process.
Prepare VAT returns and assist in ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
Contribute to the development and implementation of internal controls, policies, and procedures.
Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
Take on additional departmental responsibilities as needed.
Support the Head of Finance with ad hoc tasks and special projects.
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an accounting role.
Strong team player with excellent cross-departmental communication skills.
Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Progress toward an ACCA qualification or equivalent.
Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal abilities.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics and Power BI is advantageous.
