AIMS International Malta is thrilled to be supporting a Single Family Office, managing its own International Equity Portfolios, with the recruitment of an Investment Market Analyst who will be working on part time basis. This role would be an interesting opportunity for somebody with a keen passion for the world of equity investing to further develop their understanding of financial markets and Wealth Management.

Responsibilities:
  • Bloomberg Terminal use: Tracking portfolio movements, company information and stock details, both for existing positions and for positions under review.
  • Conduct and/or secure research on sectors, industries, and individual stocks to facilitate analysis and comparisons of investment opportunities and conduct periodic portfolio peer-group analysis.
  • Monitor websites of portfolio-held position to follow financial calendars, company announcements, financial publications and market reports.
  • Write clear, well-researched reports and commentaries and contribute to other company related reports as required.
  • Provide monthly reports to the executive team and prepare short-form Weekly Briefing Reports and Forthcoming Events Calendar for Management and the Investment Committee.
  • Keep abreast of breaking news or information that has the propensity to impact market movements in sectors under review.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of financial markets either through professional training (preferably a qualification in Finance) or through proven relevant experience (minimum 3 years).
  • Strong analytical skills and a high proficiency in written and spoken English with the ability to articulate the essence of a company report, financial statement or expert analysis clearly and succinctly.
  • Competence in Excel and Word are a must as is competency with Bloomberg Terminal.
  • A working knowledge of French and/or Dutch would be considered an asset.
  • The role requires the services of a self-motivated individual who is discreet, personable, adaptable, and meticulous and who can work with a team and deliver to strict deadlines, during agreed timeframes, as and when necessary.
