Responsibilities:
- Managing the company's books of accounts.
- Performing month-end accounting tasks and reconciliations.
- Handling accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
- Preparing and filing quarterly VAT returns and annual tax returns.
- Preparing monthly payroll and fulfilling FSS obligations.
- Developing and maintaining effective internal controls to protect company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
- Coordinating and supporting external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Preparing periodic management accounts and annual financial statements.
- Preparing budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring actual performance against projections.
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the corporate services sector.
- Thorough knowledge of Maltese accounting standards and regulations.
- Knowledge of QuickBooks is an advantage.
