Our client, a leading Corporate Services Provider (CSP), is looking to hire an HR Officer to join their Human Resources team.
The chosen candidate would report to the HR Manager. The ideal candidate would be self-driven and able to manage his/her own workload whilst eager to learn and develop in this field.
Responsibilities:

Acting as a point of contact for employee queries and HR-related matters, ensuring timely resolution in line with company policies;

Overseeing engagement and termination processes of employees and in the full recruitment cycle with hiring managers, including posting job adverts, screening candidates, conducting reference checks, issuing employment contracts, and processing work permit applications when required;

Ensuring timely and effective onboarding for new employees, including contract preparation, induction programmes, and probation reviews;

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date HR records, employee files, and documentation with integrity and confidentiality;

Developing and drafting HR policies, procedures, and best practices;

Submitting employee information to the relevant authorities and departments;
-
Liaising with the payroll team to ensure that any updates reach them in time for the monthly payroll;

Coordinating the performance appraisal process, supporting managers in setting and reviewing KPIs and objectives;

Conducting training needs analysis and coordinating internal and external training, including CPD programmes for regulated professionals;

Supporting the planning and delivery of employee engagement initiatives, wellness activities, and team-building events;

Preparing HR reports and workforce analytics for management and board meetings;
-
Assisting the HR Manager on any employee complaints and provide support to resolve conflicts;

Performing other duties as assigned from time to time.
Requirements:

A minimum A' Level standard of education;

A minimum of 2 to 3 years’ of experience in a similar role;

Knowledge of the Maltese Employment law and experience in liaising with Maltese entities;

Excellent communication skills, assertive with impeccable fluency in written and spoken English;

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with professionalism;

Excellent organisational and time management skills;
-
An eye-for-detail and able to work autonomously;

Work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
-
Highly computer literate with MS Office Suite.
