Responsibilities:
- Act as the main liaison for clients, managing and developing relationships to understand their needs and deliver customized accounting solutions.
- Prepare and review clients' financial statements and reports, ensuring they are accurate and comply with GAAP, IFRS, and other regulatory standards.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of accountants, including responsibilities for hiring, training, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Review clients' bookkeeping, VAT returns, and payroll.
- Coordinate and facilitate external audits for clients, liaise with auditors, and ensure audit recommendations are implemented.
- Assist clients in budget and forecast preparation, providing variance analysis and financial insights to aid their business decisions.
- Ensure clients comply with local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; ACCA certification.
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in a client service environment.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Xero) and the MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Capability to plan and adapt to unexpected changes daily and work under tight deadlines.
