We are glad to be assisting our client operating within the oil and gas industry, seeking to expand their operation by adding a Diesel Trading Officer to their team.
Responsibilities:

Execute international trades of diesel, especially EN590 10ppm, through spot and long-term contracts.

Manage CIF, FOB, and Tank-to-Tank (TTT) operations at key terminals (e.g., Rotterdam, Fujairah, Houston).

Negotiate and secure competitive offers from verified sellers, refineries, or authorized mandates.

Source and vet reliable buyers and sellers, ensuring full KYC/AML compliance.

Maintain and grow a global network of brokers, agents, storage operators, and terminal contacts.

Build trusted relationships with stakeholders across Europe, MENA, Asia, and Africa.

Draft and review trade documents: ICPO, FCO, CI, draft contracts, POP/POPET, SPA.

Handle end-to-end documentation flow: Bill of Lading (BL), Certificate of Origin, Q&Q, SGS/CIQ.

Coordinate financial instruments like LC/SBLC with banks or financiers and validate conditions.

Monitor oil market volatility, geopolitical risk, and counterparty exposure.

Ensure compliance with international sanctions (EU, OFAC), trade laws, and internal procedures.

Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to assess and mitigate transaction risks.

Track diesel market dynamics, shipping rates, regional arbitrage, and demand cycles.

Develop pricing models and optimize trading strategies to maximize profitability.

Represent the company at industry events, trade fairs, and webinars to stay market-relevant.
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Energy Economics, Petroleum Engineering, or related field.

5–7 years of hands-on experience in refined product trading, especially EN590 diesel.

Deep understanding of oil trade procedures, INCOTERMS, logistics, and documentation.

Proven success in closing trades and managing full deal lifecycle under tight timelines.
