Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on a wide range of corporate, financial services, and banking-related matters, including company formation, regulatory licensing, governance, and structuring.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial and financial agreements.
- Support clients through M&A transactions, reorganisations, and corporate restructurings.
- Liaise with local and international regulatory authorities, including the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA), on licensing, compliance, and other regulatory matters.
- Provide legal advice on compliance with corporate and financial legislation and guidance on best practices.
- Conduct and manage legal due diligence exercises across multiple sectors.
- Work closely with clients, partners, and internal teams to deliver strategic legal solutions and maintain long-term business relationships.
Requirements:
- A warrant to practice law in Malta.
- A minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience in corporate, finance, or financial services law.
- Strong academic background in civil, corporate, and financial services law.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex legal matters in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in English.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to handle competing priorities effectively.
