Responsibilities:
- Represent the firm in court sittings, including testifying and presenting documents on oath when required;
 - Draft, prepare, file, and review judicial acts and related legal documentation;
 - Liaise and coordinate with external lawyers on court-related procedures;
 - Ensure all litigation-related deadlines are met and decisions are communicated in a timely manner;
 - Prepare witnesses and ensure readiness for court sittings;
 - Oversee the update of publications on the firm’s website as necessary;
 - Manage and coordinate external legal fees, trackers, and logs;
 - Assist in the implementation and application of enforcement processes;
 - Draft internal policies and procedures for the Court Litigation Team and ensure effective implementation;
 - Provide training both internally and externally as required;
 - Collaborate with other firms units and external entities to collect data, documentation, and information for litigation;
 - Represent the firm in international fora when needed and liaise with local/foreign supervisory authorities regarding enforcement measures;
 - Support senior management with ad-hoc projects and assignments as required.
 
Requirements:
- LL.B. (Hons), LL.D., M.Adv. or an equivalent academic qualification in Law at MQF Level 6 or higher;
 - Minimum of 3 years’ experience practicing in court or in AML/CFT-related roles;
 - Warrant to practice law in Malta will be considered an asset;
 - Strong knowledge of Maltese and EU AML/CFT legislation, directives, and industry standards;
 - Familiarity with the operations of financial services, gaming, and other regulated sectors;
 - Excellent communication skills in Maltese and English, both written and verbal;
 - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related tools.
