Responsibilities:
- Support the Senior Management and Head with the review and implementation of the section's procedures and supervisory functions.
- Oversee operations within the DNFBP (Designated Non - Financial Business and Professions) section daily.
- Tasked with management, implementation and enforcement of all internal, related policies and procedures, as well as implemented strategies.
- Liaise with risk management to develop ad implement risk-based strategies related to the monitoring of subject persons.
- Monitor multiple entities within a variety of industries within financial services to ensure that AML/CFT related policies and procedures are followed.
- Monitor, manage and review the teams progress and quality of work, and identify and discrepancies operationally to ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures, and compliance best practice.
- Offer guidance and AML/CFT training where applicable to ensure best conduct and performance on various projects.
- Assist relevant authorities and regulatory bodies when required.
- A minimum bachelors degree in a related field of study (Law or within the financial services)
- 5 - 6 years of relevant experience.
- A high level of knowledge and understanding of the laws and directives which govern AML/CFT locally and within the EU.
- Sound knowledge of the relevant EU Directives and related domestic legislation that governs the DNFBPs operations, together with a high level of familiarity with the sectors in which such subject persons operate, such as the TCSP sector, Accounting and Audit sectors, Real Estate sectors, Trustees, Notaries etc.
