Our client, a public-sector entity operating within the AML/CFT regulatory and financial intelligence framework, is currently looking to recruit an Assistant Manager (Strategy) to join their team. The successful candidate will support the development, coordination, and monitoring of strategic initiatives, ensuring effective implementation of AML/CFT strategies in line with evolving risks, legislation, and international standards.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with all teams to monitor and support the effective implementation of AML/CFT strategies and the strategic objectives.
  • Participate in the formulation and review of AML/CFT and company strategies, ensuring alignment with emerging money laundering and terrorist financing trends, as well as legislative and institutional developments.
  • Manage and coordinate the execution of strategic initiatives and cross-sectional projects, ensuring agreed actions and recommendations are implemented effectively and within set timelines.
  • Participate in conferences, seminars, workshops, and internal committees to remain up to date with AML/CFT legislative and institutional developments at both local and international level.
  • Provide ad-hoc support in connection with evaluations, assessments, or studies conducted by EU bodies and international organisations such as MONEYVAL, FATF, and Egmont, where relevant.
Requirements:
  • An MQF Level 6 qualification with a minimum of 5 years’ experience, preferably in AML/CFT, including at least 1 year in a senior-level role,
    OR
    An MQF Level 5 qualification with a minimum of 7 years’ experience, preferably in AML/CFT.
  • Experience in programme or project management roles will be considered an asset, though on-the-job support will be provided.
  • Proven track record of efficiency, diligence, creativity, and a solution-oriented approach in a relevant role.
  • Strong organisational, reasoning, analytical, and critical reading skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and lead tasks or projects with minimal supervision.
Working Hours
  • Winter: 08:00 – 17:00
  • Summer: 08:00 – 13:30
  • Flexible working hours apply, subject to operational requirements.
