Responsibilities
- Prepare and file individual, corporate, partnership, and payroll tax returns.
- Conduct tax research to ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
- Analyze financial data to identify potential tax credits, deductions, and savings opportunities.
- Maintain accurate documentation of tax filings and financial information.
- Assist with tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
- Respond to tax notices and communicate with tax authorities as needed.
- Support year-end closing processes and coordinate with auditors.
- Review tax implications of business transactions and provide recommendations.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and industry trends.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or EA preferred).
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., ProSeries, Lacerte, UltraTax) and Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
