We are assisting one of our respected clients, a well-established aviation company headquartered in Malta, with the recruitment of a Senior Finance Executive to join their Finance team.
The company is an airline operating under a Maltese AOC (EASA), focused on charter flights, ACMI leasing, and aircraft management services. It serves a broad portfolio of international clients, including major carriers and agents across the EMEA region.
Responsibilities:

Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accurate postings, payments, and records.

Perform bank reconciliations and maintain up-to-date bank records.

Assist with general ledger maintenance, including reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and prepayments.

Ensure accurate allocation of operational costs to aircraft, routes, and cost centres.

Support the preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns

Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and year-end financial statements, including audit support.

Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders as required.

Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and accounting standards.

Support the Finance Manager and administration office with ad hoc tasks and projects.
Requirements:

ACCA qualification or a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Minimum 2 years of accounting-related experience, preferably within the aviation industry.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. Sage, Xero, or similar)

Strong understanding of core accounting principles and financial processes

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Proactive with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
