Our client a recognized CSP is expanding their accounting team and are looking for a Senior Client Accountant to take ownership of a diverse client portfolio and lead the way in delivering high-quality financial services.
 
Responsibilities :
  • Managing your own portfolio of clients with professionalism and care
  • Preparing and reviewing management accounts, then presenting insights directly to clients
  • Liaising with auditors and ensuring audit readiness
  • Preparing budgets and forecasts, supporting clients with strategic planning
  • Overseeing and reviewing VAT returns and payroll computations
  • Analyzing financial data to produce meaningful reports for both clients and internal use
  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members, including reviewing their work and planning workflows
  • Identifying opportunities to improve internal processes and client service delivery
  • Advising clients on financial and operational issues with practical, proactive solutions
  • Staying up to date with regulatory changes to provide informed, compliant advice
 
Requirements :
  • Master’s Degree in Accounting or ACCA qualification (or near completion of ACCA)
  • 3–5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within the Maltese market
  • Solid understanding of Maltese accounting standards, VAT, and tax regulations
  • Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero and strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving mindset
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple client needs
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills
  • A Maltese driver’s license is considered a plus
