Responsibilities :
- Managing your own portfolio of clients with professionalism and care
- Preparing and reviewing management accounts, then presenting insights directly to clients
- Liaising with auditors and ensuring audit readiness
- Preparing budgets and forecasts, supporting clients with strategic planning
- Overseeing and reviewing VAT returns and payroll computations
- Analyzing financial data to produce meaningful reports for both clients and internal use
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members, including reviewing their work and planning workflows
- Identifying opportunities to improve internal processes and client service delivery
- Advising clients on financial and operational issues with practical, proactive solutions
- Staying up to date with regulatory changes to provide informed, compliant advice
Requirements :
- Master’s Degree in Accounting or ACCA qualification (or near completion of ACCA)
- 3–5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within the Maltese market
- Solid understanding of Maltese accounting standards, VAT, and tax regulations
- Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero and strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving mindset
- Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple client needs
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- A Maltese driver’s license is considered a plus
