Our client, a Maltese firm offering accountancy, advisory and corporate services to a wide range of international clients, is currently looking to recruit a Semi Senior Client Accountant.
Responsibilities:
- As a Semi Senior Client Accountant, you will be responsible for delivering efficient, high-quality services to a portfolio of clients.
- You will ensure compliance with Maltese accounting and tax regulations, as well as adherence to internal policies and standards.
- Prepare client accounts up to management accounts level for a designated portfolio
- Prepare and submit VAT and tax returns
- Handle payroll reports and submissions
- Adhere to internal controls and procedures
- Issue invoices and prepare payment instructions as needed
- Coordinate with external auditors
- Assist clients with tax refund formalities
- 3-4 years of accounting experience in Malta
- ACCA-qualified or nearing completion within one year
- Strong knowledge of Maltese VAT and Tax Law
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage workloads efficiently
- Strong organizational skills, both personal and professional
- Team-oriented, with excellent communication skills across all levels
- Self-motivated with a structured approach to work
- Experience with QuickBooks is considered an asset
- Fluency in English, with Italian knowledge being a plus
