Responsibilities:
· Company formation and continuation of companies to and from Malta.
· Drafting and negotiation of shareholders’ agreements and joint venture agreements.
· Directors’ duties, corporate governance and corporate compliance.
· Advise on life, non life and reinsurance products.
· Draft agreements, broker contracts and reinsurance documents.
· Support complex claim handling, coverage disputes and engagement with external counsel.
· Partner with underwriting to assess legal risks.
· Stay up to date with legal and regulatory developments.
· General corporate and commercial and insurance law matters.
Requirements:
· Possess a Law degree and warrant to practice as an advocate in Malta.
· Experience in multinational insurance organisations.
· Have good written and verbal communication skills in English and Maltese.
· Have at least 2 years’ experience in corporate law.
· Be pro-active and able to work against tight deadlines.
· Be willing to undergo continued professional development and training.
