Responsibilities:
- Assisting in compliance investigations, collecting evidence, and preparing reports on suspected regulatory breaches.
- Liaising and cooperating with stakeholders and competent authorities, including government agencies.
- Supporting the enforcement of administrative and criminal aspects of the law.
- Analyzing transactional data to detect suspicious activity requiring further compliance investigation.
- Participating in internal meetings and committees as needed.
- Handling correspondence and maintaining the Case Management System.
- Conducting onsite visits to gather necessary information.
- Assisting in the collection of comprehensive statistical data.
- Providing support during ad-hoc projects.
- Representing the organization at local or international meetings and workshops as necessary.
- Performing any other duties assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Diploma (MQF Level 5) in a related subject within the financial services industry.
- Fluency in both Maltese and English.
- Knowledge of money laundering prevention laws, international standards, and EU legislation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Microsoft Power BI and i2 Analyst’s Notebook.
