AIMS International Malta is pleased to represent our client in the luxury hospitality sector. To support their continued growth, we are currently seeking an experienced Corporate Accounting Manager to lead and strengthen their finance function.

We are seeking a Corporate Accounts Manager to lead the Corporate Accounting team based in our client's Malta offices, who will be responsible for overseeing month-end financial reporting and the preparation of annual 
financial statements for multiple entities within the Group. The role also supports the Group Head of Financial Reporting in the preparation of consolidated monthly results and ensures that all subsidiaries submit accurate and timely financial reports in line with the Group’s reporting calendar. In addition, the Corporate Accounts Manager will oversee VAT and tax reporting for the Maltese entities and provide guidance and support to the team on VAT-related matters. 

This position requires the ability to prioritize effectively, maintain a hands-on, flexible, and independent work mentality, and manage workload efficiently to meet deadlines. The ideal candidate is proactive, 
confident in their abilities, and possesses strong communication skills. 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a small finance team, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture 

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, encouraging continuous development and improvement 

  • Drive the team to meet deadlines, including the timely preparation and submission of monthly management accounts and financial statements. 

  • Oversee audit processes and maintain effective communication with local auditors 

  • Ensure vessel build reporting is prepared accurately and reconciled on a monthly basis 

  • Implement robust internal controls, ensuring compliance with applicable financial regulations 

  • Develop cash flow forecasts for all entities within the scope of responsibility 

  • Prepare annual budgets and monitor performance against budget throughout the year 

  • Review financial results, analyse performance, and identify opportunities for cost optimisation 

  • Liaise with directors, attend board meetings, and prepare required compliance matter 

  • Support the team in ensuring the timely and accurate submission of VAT and tax returns 

  • Assist with Group Reporting, including the preparation of Swiss elimination entries and IFRS 15, 

  • IFRS 16, and loyalty accrual workings 

  • Prepare additional reporting as required by the Group


Requirements:

  • Fully qualified accountant, holding a degree from the University of Malta or an ACCA qualification with the Maltese Tax and Law variant  

  • 5 years + of work experience in accounting 

  • Strong working knowledge of IFRS, TAX and VAT 

  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong expertise in Microsoft Excel 

  • Thrives in a fast-paced working environment and demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills 

  • Willing and available to travel 

  • Demonstrates personal credibility, integrity, and high moral standards 

  • Results-oriented, responsible, highly meticulous, and detail-oriented 

  • Self-motivated and capable of working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
