The successful candidate will advise and represent clients on a broad range of employment-related matters, including workplace disputes, regulatory compliance, employment contracts, redundancies, and licensing issues.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting clients with the provision of legal assistance and advice;
- Researching and drafting of legal and judicial documents;
- Drafting and reviewing of employment contracts, policies, and procedures;
- Attending to job evaluation and equal pay compliance;
- Attending court and industrial tribunal sittings and advising on litigation and dispute resolution;
- Supporting the legal team generally under the direction of the Firm’s partners and collaborating with colleagues across practice areas on multidisciplinary matters
- At least 3 years post-qualification experience with a law firm or as in-house counsel;
- Practical experience in industrial relations and employment law;
- Strong analytical and drafting skills;
- Excellent communication and client-handling abilities;
- Keen interest in legal developments with a view of establishing one’s profile and growing that of the firm in the practice area;
- A positive attitude, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team; to communicate confidently and effectively, to work under pressure and be results oriented.
- A master’s in law degree or sound understanding in related areas (employment law, discrimination, health and safety, and/or data protection law) will be considered an asset.
