Our client, operating within the public sector, is seeking to strengthen their team by recruiting an Assistant Manager (Quality Assurance) within the Strategy, Policy & Quality Assurance team.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the drafting of the annual risk-based Quality Assurance programme.
  • Conduct Quality Assurance Reviews of policies, procedures, and operational processes in line with established QA procedures and timeframes.
  • Perform ad-hoc compliance and substantive testing as required.
  • Present findings and supporting evidence, and provide recommendations to address operational weaknesses and enhance efficiency.
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of the Quality Assurance Report.
  • Follow up on the implementation of agreed recommendations.
  • Participate in conferences, workshops, seminars and internal committees to remain updated on developments in the AML/CFT legislative and institutional framework, both locally and internationally.
  • Provide ad-hoc support in relation to evaluations or assessments conducted by entities such as the EU, Egmont, MONEYVAL, FATF, and other relevant organisations.
  • Undertake any additional duties that may be assigned by the Head of Section, Senior Manager or Manager.

Requirements:

  • MQF Level 6 qualification with 5 years’ experience (preferably in AML/CFT), including at least 1 year in a senior role;
  • or MQF Level 5 qualification with 7 years’ experience, preferably in AML/CFT.
  • Proven track record of efficiency, diligence, and a solution-oriented approach in a relevant role.
  • Strong analytical, organisational and reasoning skills, with the ability to interpret and analyse complex information.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and capable of working independently while leading tasks or projects with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in internal audit is considered an asset, though not essential, as on-the-job support will be provided.
