Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients. Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of agreed-upon services, including bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, tax filings, payroll processing, and management reporting.
- Proactively identify and resolve client issues, concerns, and inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Lead the process of onboarding new clients, ensuring a smooth transition and a clear understanding of service agreements.
- Review and approve work prepared by junior staff to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Supervise and mentor a team of accountants and bookkeepers.
- Assist with setting goals and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Identify training needs and facilitate professional development opportunities for the team.
- Assist in allocating tasks and managing workloads to ensure deadlines are met and resources are utilized efficiently.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Highlight opportunities for process improvements within the department to the senior manager or director.
- Stay up to date with changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and other relevant regulations to ensure client and firm compliance.
Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant (Master’s in Accountancy) or ACCA.
- Warranted.
- 3–5 years’ experience, ideally in an accounting firm, CSP, or similar environment managing a portfolio of clients.
- Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Proficiency with accounting software packages (e.g., Sage Evolution) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
