Our client, operating within the public sector, is seeking to expand their Technology & Information Security function by recruiting an Application Support Specialist within the Business Applications Team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 application support to internal users and external stakeholders.
- Maintain, enhance, and create workflows, functions and system configurations across key business applications.
- Collaborate closely with end-users to develop, test, optimise, and manage workflow rules, data validation processes, and triggers.
- Document all implemented workflows, data maps and technical considerations, ensuring clear and structured knowledge-sharing within the team.
- Analyse requirements for new data maps, providing recommendations and feasibility assessments.
- Support the delivery of data collection and supervisory system projects, ensuring timely completion and high quality.
- Coordinate with the Network & Security and Policy & QA teams to ensure full integration and alignment across systems and processes.
- Stay updated on new system features, user requirements, and operational challenges to drive continuous improvement.
- Work with technical teams to support web server environments, operational databases, file-sharing solutions, and other technologies as needed.
- Assist the Data Management & Analytics teams in understanding data structures and operational architecture to support high-quality insights.
- Perform daily administrative tasks and address any production support issues.
- Participate in security assessments in collaboration with the Cyber Security Team, ensuring the mitigation of vulnerabilities.
- Support the development of API integrations with internal and third-party systems.
- Assist in creating new ETL processes for internal systems.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Technology & Information Security management team.
Requirements:
- MQF Level 6 qualification in Computer Science with at least 3 years of experience,
- or MQF Level 5 qualification with at least 4 years of experience.
- Proven experience administering Enterprise CRM or ERP platforms, including workflow and process design.
- Strong familiarity with Enterprise Web Applications, databases, and SQL within a Microsoft stack environment.
- Confident, articulate communicator with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong communication skills with both colleagues and senior management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and planning abilities.
- Customer-service oriented with the ability to manage evolving priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong team player with a commitment to knowledge sharing and cross-functional collaboration.
- Fluent in English and Maltese.
- Ability to manage complex processes involving multiple stakeholders.
