Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and develop the Accounting team, ensuring high performance, accountability, and timely delivery of all financial reporting requirements for group companies.
- Oversee the preparation and review of monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to reporting deadlines.
- Manage the audit processes, acting as the primary point of contact for external auditors and ensuring efficient and timely completion.
- Ensure statutory financial statements are prepared in accordance with IFRS and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and ensure timely compliance with VAT and other statutory reporting obligations across relevant jurisdictions.
- Prepare and review financial forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses, providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Maintain effective communication with senior management and Head Office, providing clear financial updates, analysis, and recommendations.
- Drive continuous improvement of accounting processes, internal controls, and financial systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Support recruitment, training, and performance management of accounting personnel, fostering a strong and collaborative team environment.
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
- Proven experience in a managerial accounting role, preferably within a group structure or coming from a client accounting background.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and experience preparing statutory financial statements.
- Experience with VAT.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
