Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and supervise plate shop and steel fabrication activities.
- Oversee cutting, forming, fitting, and assembly of steel structures and components.
- Assign tasks and manage daily activities of fabrication teams.
- Monitor work progress and ensure compliance with project schedules.
- Review and interpret technical drawings, fabrication plans, and project specifications.
- Supervise structural repair and replacement works during ship repair and refit projects.
- Ensure quality standards and technical requirements are met throughout all fabrication activities.
- Coordinate with Production, Project Management, Quality, and HSE departments.
- Manage workshop resources, equipment, and manpower.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in shipbuilding, ship repair, or steel fabrication.
- Previous experience supervising workshop or fabrication teams.
- Strong knowledge of steel structures and shipyard fabrication processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Experience with ship repair and refit projects.
- Knowledge of shipyard safety regulations and procedures.
- Strong leadership, planning, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage priorities and solve operational issues effectively.
