Our client, a leading professional services firm, is looking for a Lead Associate – Corporate & Regulatory to join its growing financial services advisory team.


Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on optimal corporate structures, including company formations, mergers, joint ventures, and corporate restructurings.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate transactional and corporate documentation in collaboration with other advisors.
  • Conduct legal due diligence exercises to identify legal risks and liabilities in transactions.
  • Undertake legal research and provide guidance on the impact of legislative and regulatory developments.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships by understanding business needs and delivering tailored regulatory solutions.
  • Assist clients in obtaining licences and regulatory approvals across a variety of regulated sectors, including banking, insurance, investment management, capital markets, and financial instruments.
  • Contribute to the preparation of articles, publications, and thought leadership content relating to corporate, commercial, financial services, and private client matters.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on transactions involving regulated and authorised entities operating in sectors such as digital assets, fintech, gaming, aviation, maritime, innovation, and finance raising.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures aligned with regulatory requirements.
  • Support clients with compliance matters arising from ongoing supervisory and regulatory processes.
  • Address specific regulatory issues as they arise and provide practical legal solutions.
  • Deliver training sessions internally and to clients on corporate and regulatory developments and their impact on the industry.
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.


Requirements:

  • MQF Level 6 qualification in Law and a warranted legal practitioner.
  • 1–2 years of experience in a Corporate Officer role or a similar position.
  • Strong understanding of corporate, commercial, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in English.
  • Strong organisational skills, with project management experience considered an asset.
  • Ability to manage and follow up on multiple tasks through to completion.
  • Strong attention to detail combined with the ability to work efficiently.
  • Ability to handle demanding transactions and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within diverse and international teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. ECDL certification will be considered an asset.
