Our client, a well-established audit and professional services firm in Malta, is seeking to recruit a Lawyer to join their growing legal team.

Responsibilities:
  • Support Team Leaders on a wide range of legal and operational matters, including corporate, commercial, intellectual property, employment, gaming, and fintech-related matters.
  • Draft, review, and approve agreements and other legal documentation, ensuring compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide legal advice and assistance on corporate transactions, company restructurings, and other corporate matters.
  • Conduct legal research on various areas of law and prepare legal briefs, reports, and opinions for clients.
  • Advise clients and internal stakeholders on legal and regulatory matters, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and industry requirements.
  • Attend client meetings, prepare supporting documentation, and provide timely and accurate assistance on ongoing matters.
  • Manage administrative and organisational tasks, including document management, scheduling, follow-ups, and project tracking.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues across different service lines to deliver comprehensive and client-focused solutions.
  • Undertake any other duties that fall within the scope of the role as may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements:
  • Fully qualified lawyer with a valid warrant to practise under Maltese law.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar legal role.
  • Strong knowledge of Maltese corporate and commercial law, with exposure to other practice areas considered an asset.
  • Commercially minded, proactive, and able to work effectively under pressure while meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • A motivated team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and develop professionally.
