Responsibilities:
- Support Team Leaders on a wide range of legal and operational matters, including corporate, commercial, intellectual property, employment, gaming, and fintech-related matters.
- Draft, review, and approve agreements and other legal documentation, ensuring compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Provide legal advice and assistance on corporate transactions, company restructurings, and other corporate matters.
- Conduct legal research on various areas of law and prepare legal briefs, reports, and opinions for clients.
- Advise clients and internal stakeholders on legal and regulatory matters, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and industry requirements.
- Attend client meetings, prepare supporting documentation, and provide timely and accurate assistance on ongoing matters.
- Manage administrative and organisational tasks, including document management, scheduling, follow-ups, and project tracking.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues across different service lines to deliver comprehensive and client-focused solutions.
- Undertake any other duties that fall within the scope of the role as may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements:
- Fully qualified lawyer with a valid warrant to practise under Maltese law.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar legal role.
- Strong knowledge of Maltese corporate and commercial law, with exposure to other practice areas considered an asset.
- Commercially minded, proactive, and able to work effectively under pressure while meeting deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- A motivated team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and develop professionally.
