On behalf of our client operating within the luxury tourism sector, we are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join a growing international organization.
Our client is seeking an Accounting Manager who will be responsible for the preparation of month end and yearly financial results. A key aspect of this role is training, guiding, and leading the accounting team while maintaining open and effective communication with colleagues both locally and overseas. This position requires the ability to prioritize effectively, maintain a hands-on, flexible, and independent work mentality, and manage workload efficiently to meet deadlines.
The ideal candidate is proactive, confident in their abilities, possesses strong communication skills, and is comfortable answering questions and providing clear explanations.
Responsibilities:

Oversee a team of 8 professionals, ensuring requests and tasks are handled in a timely and efficient manner.

Report frequently to management, both locally and overseas, on day-to-day operational and financial matters.

Oversee the audit process, including coordination of meetings with auditors and ensuring all deadlines are met.

Drive the team to meet various deadlines, including internal reporting, VAT, tax, and other regulatory submissions.

Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts.

Review statutory financial statements in accordance with IFRS, ensuring full compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.

Review month-end results prepared by the team and maintain open communication with Head Office.

Participate in the recruitment of team members and conduct periodic performance appraisals.

Propose process improvements and operational changes to management to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Communicate confidently and effectively to ensure messages are delivered with clarity and impact.
Requirements:

A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.

At least 8-10 years’ experience in accounting and in a management position.

Previous experience within the hospitality industry will be considered an asset.

Thrives in a fast-paced working environment and demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Willing and available to travel at least three times per year.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
